Thanks for the note! That is funny the story about your boss using the wrong fiber. I wonder if other systems re-focus the light or something? Luc can give a much more informed opinion but, The issue with high powered lasers is you are pumping a lot of light energy into a tiny focused dot so you end up instantly evaporating your sample or destroying it. Yep, no problem.

If they were driving around with the system in the back of a truck, it should work assuming everything was screwed tight. They would just want to check alignment at each stop but that takes no more then a minute if you are quick.

I want to emphasize one thing... the screws MUST be tight. If they are lose things will move even by a firm touch while using the system.
