They seem to have drastically increased their price... you may want to check the price of CNC machining in POM/acetal/delrin at that level.
Photoresin has much higher resolution than SLS which is required for that part. You can try in SLS but I don't think you'll get a clean groove for the o-ring.
If you append to have a Fablab around, check with them if they can print the part for you. I have a cheap resin printer here and the LD clamp costs like $0.10/pcs.
Materialise 3-D Printed Parts
Re: Materialise 3-D Printed Parts
Would you recommend FDM for the OpenRAMAN?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.
Re: Materialise 3-D Printed Parts
One user did succeed with FDM but personally I recommend SLS for structural parts, or even better CNC machining in Al 6061 or equivalent if you can afford it.
Re: Materialise 3-D Printed Parts
One thing that I think might be really useful would be to separate the parts into FDM-compatible "housing" pieces, and CNCed pieces where precision is important. This would allow our community to share/swap parts more easily, as I'm sure some of us have access to FDM printers and others have access SLA printers, high-end mills, etc.
I myself would be happy to print FDM parts for anyone who's interested.
