Re: Tuning Spectral Distribution - only able to see a portion of full spectrum

There is already some good news. Generally speaking, the span required for Raman spectroscopy at 532 nm is much smaller than the total spectrum of most calibration sources like neon or even the fluocompact lamp. So it's not an issue if you don't image the complete spectra of these lamps. Here, you'l...

Re: Calibration Issue

The slit image is of too low quality for any practical work -- clearly the sign that something is wrong. Could you send a picture on how you adjust the position of the lenses? Preferably once they are at their aligned position. As an order of magnitude, the focus range is on the order of 0.02 mm so ...

Re: Tuning Spectral Distribution - only able to see a portion of full spectrum

I updated some of the forum settings; please try again uploading the files it should work now :)

a view from the top of the spectrometer is also useful for debugging

Re: Tuning Spectral Distribution - only able to see a portion of full spectrum

Hi LaurenM, I don't see the attached file. Could you upload it again? One possibility (to be checked) which happens often is that you might be looking at the 2nd order of the grating which doubles the dispersion of the grating (the spectrum therefore spans on twice the range). You can already check ...

Re: Any experience with PCBWay CNC service?

Yes, resin prints tend to be very brittle. For the cuvette, I recommend SLS technology. Resin is essentially useful when you want very small details like in the laser holder.

Re: Camera Not Detected

Hi,

That's normal -- you cannot connect twice to the camera

It's a common problem people meet but there is nothing to do, it's just that the camera is not made to support multiple connections.

Re: Camera Not Detected

Can you open spinview and take a screenshot of the camera list ? without doing anything else

Re: Camera Not Detected

Hi,

Can you double check the followings ?
  • is the spinview software closed when you try to connect to the camera using SpectrumAnalyzer?
  • is the ip address of the camera in the valid range ?
If it keeps blocking we can organize a TeamViewer session.

Re: Any experience with PCBWay CNC service?

Not on my side; I'm currently working with Xometry even though I also worked for years with different companies in China and Singapore at my former employer. $109 isn't a lot -- I think Xometry would charge twice that. Don't waste your time with imalize (France) by the way, while they do have good q...

Re: Alignment Question

3.45 µm pixels, monochrome, very low absolute sensitivity threshold and at least 2048 px horizontally if you're using a 50 mm lens. The FLIR camera I'm using has a IMX265 sensor so you can look at substitutes that relies on the same sensor (in monochrome). Apart from the FLIR and Daheng cameras alre...
